Doris Karpowich

DORIS MAE KARPOWICH (nee Bendes), age 98, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Frank Emil Karpowich.  Devoted mother of David (Connie), James, and Deborah Eagen (Jeffrey).  Cherished grandmother of Heidi Collier (Boyd), Ethan Karpowich (Michelle), and Imani Karpowich.  Loving great-grandmother of Noah, Hannah, and Joshua Collier, Devin Gonzalez (Elizabeth), Gavin Karpowich, and Emmett Hickey, and great-great-grandmother of Kendall.  Dearest sister of the late Michael Remer, Richard Holcknecht, James Holcknecht, and Marilyn DeFranco (Anthony, surviving).

Doris enjoyed Hungarian cooking and baking.  She loved and respected animals.  She enjoyed visiting the zoo with her daughter Deborah and also the county fair.  Her smile reflected her kindness and love for life.  Her quiet demeanor and friendly nature helped all to feel at ease in her company.  Her family and friends have lost a cherished soul.

Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00-5:00 p.m.  Doris' Funeral Service will be held at the FUNERAL HOME, Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at All Souls Cemetery.
